Item 8.01. Other Matters.

On September 8, 2009, OMNI Energy Services Corp. (the "Company") announced that it has signed a two-year contract to deploy three I.M.P.A.C.T.TM automated cleaning units on an offshore production platform in the Gulf of Mexico. OMNI expects the retrofit and installation to be completed within the next two months.

A copy of the press release announcing the contract is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference. The press release should be read in conjunction with the note regarding forward-looking statements, which is included in the text of the press release.
