Access National Corporation (Nasdaq: ANCX) announced on August 21, 2009 that Director J. Randolph Babbitt resigned from the Board of Directors on and effective August 19, 2009. The reason cited was a conflict related to his appointment by the U.S. Senate as Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration effective June 1, 2009. A copy of the press release summarizing the announcement is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
