Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition.

On July 30, 2009, Strategic Diagnostics Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2009. In the July 30 press release, a quote from Francis DiNuzzo, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, referred in error to recent USDA certifications for food pathogen product lines. The reference should instead have been to "recent AOAC certifications." A copy of the corrected press release is being furnished as Exhibit 99 to this report.
