Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition.

On August 6, 2008 Specialty Underwriters' Alliance, Inc. (the "Company") announced financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2009. A copy of the press release announcing the Company's results for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.

EXPLANATORY NOTE This Current Report on Form 8-K/A (Amendment No. 1) amends the Form 8-K filed by Specialty Underwriters' Alliance, Inc. on August 11, 2009 to correct for the inadvertent filing of an 8-K and press release for the period ended June 30, 2008.

The information in the preceding paragraph, as well as Exhibit 99.1 referenced herein, shall not be deemed "filed" for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, nor shall it be deemed incorporated by reference in filings under the Securities Act of 1933 or the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
