Item 8.01 Other Events.

On August 3, 2009, Sugar Creek Financial Corp. (the "Company") announced that its Board of Directors declared a one-time cash dividend of $0.10 per share. The dividend will be paid on or about September 1, 2009 to stockholders of record as of the close of business on August 18, 2009. A copy of the press release dated August 3, 2009 is filed as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
