On July 17, 2009, Pfizer Inc. issued a press release announcing that the
European Commission has approved Pfizer's acquisition of Wyeth and that China's
Ministry of Commerce has extended its review of Pfizer's regulatory submission
beyond the initial 30-day period. A copy of the press release is attached hereto
as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein.
