On July 15, 2009, U.S. Bancorp announced that it had completed the repurchase of the warrant to purchase 32,679,102 shares of the company's common stock issued to the U.S. Department of the Treasury as part of the company's participation in the Treasury's Capital Purchase Program. A press release further discussing the repurchase is attached to this report as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
