On July 7, 2009, Community Bank System, Inc. issued a press release to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Community Bank, N.A., is making a strategic investment in a new integrated core processing system which will enable expanded and improved service capabilities for its banking customers. A copy of the news release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
