Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors;
Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On June 10, 2009, Huntington Bancshares Incorporated (Huntington or the Company)
announced Jim Nelson, the Company's chief risk officer, resigned from his
position effective June 12, 2009.
A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.
Item 8.01 Other Events.
Also on June 10, 2009, Huntington announced the appointment of Kevin Blakely as
senior executive vice president and chief risk officer. In this role, he will be
responsible for risk oversight across the company. The appointment will become
effective in early July.
