(b) On June 4, 2009, Deborah J. Lucas informed the Board of Directors of General
Dynamics Corporation that she will be resigning from the Board effective
October 8, 2009. Ms. Lucas is resigning in order to accept a position with the
Congressional Budget Office as a Senior Advisor to the Director for Financial
Analysis. Ms. Lucas' decision to resign was not as a result of any disagreement
with the company or its management.
