Item 8.01. Other Events.

On June 2, 2009, AmerisourceBergen Corporation (the "Registrant") issued a news release announcing the acquisition of Innomar Strategies Inc., a Canadian specialty pharmaceutical services company, for approximately $15 million CDN ($13.8 million USD) in cash, subject to a working capital adjustment.

A copy of the news release, dated June 2, 2009, is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and incorporated herein by reference.
