On June 1, 2009, Ameriana Bancorp, the holding company of Ameriana Bank, SB, announced that the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions has approved Ameriana Bank's application to convert its charter from an Indiana savings bank to an Indiana commercial bank. A copy of the press release dated June 1, 2009 is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference.
