Effective May 26, 2009, the board of directors of the general partner of Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. elected Barry R. Pearl as a director. Mr. Pearl is an independent director as defined by the New York Stock Exchange rules and the Securities Act of 1934. His qualifications are set forth in the press release dated May 28, 2009, attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
