On May 13, 2009, UIL Holdings Corporation (the Registrant) issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.432 per share on its common stock. This dividend is payable July 1, 2009 to shareowners of record at the close of business on June 17, 2009. A copy of the Registrant's press release discussing, among other items, the dividend declaration is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.
