On May 6, 2009, Ligand Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (the "Company" or "Ligand") issued a press release (the "Initial Release") announcing its financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2009, a copy of which was furnished as Exhibit 99.1 on a Current Report on Form 8-K filed on the same date. Subsequently, on May 11, 2009, the Company issued a press release (the "Corrective Release") after determining that its financial results previously announced in the Initial Release should be amended. A copy of the Corrective Release which supersedes the Initial Release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
