On May 5, 2009 Sigma-Aldrich issued a press release which indicated that the Board of Directors declared a $.145 per share quarterly cash dividend. The dividend is payable on June 15, 2009 to shareholders of record on June 1, 2009. This press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1.
