On April 28, 2009, Hampden Bancorp, Inc. (the "Company"), the holding company for Hampden Bank, announced its financial results for the three and nine months ended March 31, 2009. Item 8.01. Other Events

On April 28, 2009, the Company issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.03 per common share, payable on May 28, 2009, to stockholders of record at the close of business on May 13, 2009. A copy of the press release announcing the declaration is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
