On May 1, 2009, Ameren Corporation ("Ameren") issued a press release announcing its earnings for the quarterly period ended March 31, 2009. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference. The information furnished pursuant to this Item 2.02, including Exhibit 99.1, shall not be deemed "filed" for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (the "Exchange Act") or otherwise subject to the liabilities under that
