Item 8.01 Other Events.

On April 30, 2009 Warwick Valley Telephone Company (the "Company") announced that on April 24, 2009 a subsidiary of the Company, WVT Business Communications, completed the acquisition of the hosted VoIP, conferencing and wholesale assets of USA Datanet of Syracuse, New York, a provider of business telecommunications to a nationwide customer base.

A copy of the press release containing such announcement is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
