Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On April 22, 2009, Michael A. Elia submitted his resignation as a director of
Sovran Self Storage, Inc. (the "Company"). Mr. Elia has informed the Company
that his resignation is for personal reasons and does not arise from any
disagreement on any matter related to the Company's operations, polices or
practices, or the general direction of the Company. The resignation is effective
April 24, 2009.
