On April 17, 2009, Pacific Mercantile Bancorp issued a press release announcing that its wholly-owned banking subsidiary, Pacific Mercantile Bank, has obtained approval from the Federal Housing Administration ("FHA") to originate FHA insured single family mortgages as a Title II FHA Lender.
