Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On March 30, 2009, Ramon de Oliveira notified the board of directors of The
Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. (the "Company") of his resignation from
the board, effective April 29, 2009. In connection with Mr. de Oliveira's
resignation, the Company's board of directors expressed its sincere appreciation
for Mr. de Oliveira's service as a director of the Company.
