On March 27, 2009 Wayne Savings Bancshares, Inc., (the "Company") issued a press release announcing a cash dividend of $.05 per share on the Company's common stock for the quarter ending March 31, 2009. This represents a 58% decrease from the previous quarterly rate of $0.12. A copy of the press release dated March 27, 2009 is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
