Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain
Officers.
On March 23, 2009, the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors of
Celanese Corporation (the "Company") approved an increase in the annual base
salary of Steven M. Sterin, the Company's Senior Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer. Effective March 29, 2009, Mr. Sterin's annual base salary
will be increased from $375,000 to $450,000.
