Appointment of Principal Officers.
On February 25, 2009, Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc. announced that Barry C.
Safrit, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, is leaving the
Company effective February 28, 2009. "We appreciate Barry's hard work over the
past ten years. He has been an integral part of the team and has made many
positive contributions to the Company. We all wish him well in his future
endeavors," said Robert H. Spilman, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
