On February 23, 2009, Ameriana Bancorp, the holding company for Ameriana Bank, SB, announced that its board of directors had elected not to participate in the Troubled Asset Relief Program Capital Purchase Program. The press release announcing the board's determination is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
