(b) S. Scott Kirkley, a member of the Board of Directors and an Executive Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer of Severn Bancorp, Inc. ("Severn") has taken a six-month leave of absence effective February 9, 2009, for personal reasons. Mr. Kirkley's position on the Board will not be filled during his absence. Mr. Kirkley's duties will be assumed by other employees of Severn in his absence.
