On February 3, 2009, Monarch Community Bancorp, Inc. filed Articles Supplementary (the "Articles Supplementary") with the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation for the purpose of amending its Articles of Incorporation to fix the designations, preferences, limitations and relative rights of a class of Fixed Rate Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Stock, Series A.
