Appointment of Principal Officers.
(b) Resignation of Principal Accounting Officer
On February 4, 2009, Robert W. Blakley, Janus Capital Group Inc.'s (the
"Company") Vice President, Controller and Principal Accounting Officer, informed
the Company of his resignation to be effective on or about March 2, 2009, soon
after the completion of the Company's annual report on Form 10-K. Mr. Blakley
is resigning for personal reasons that are unrelated to the Company. Gregory A.
Frost, the Company's Chief Financial Officer, will assume the responsibilities
of Principal Accounting Officer until a replacement is appointed.
