In a press release issued on February 3, 2009, MAP Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (the "Company") announced that the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act for the Company's previously announced License Agreement (the "Agreement") with ASTRAZENECA AB has expired and that the Agreement has become effective. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
