On January 29, 2009, The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing plans for reductions in operating expenses, capital expenditures and inventory levels. The press release also announced severance charges and expectations for a non-cash charge to reduce the value of the Company's intangible, long-lived and tax assets.
