Provident Financial Holdings, Inc. (the "Corporation") announced on January 20, 2009 that the Corporation's Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.03 per share on the Corporation's outstanding shares of common stock. Shareholders of record at the close of business on February 10, 2009 will be entitled to receive the cash dividend. The cash dividend will be payable on March 6, 2009. The news release announcing the cash dividend is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
