On January 16, 2009, Gaming Partners International Corporation (GPIC) issued a press release reporting that GPIC has secured two substantial orders to supply casino chips with RFID technology to two casinos, City of Dreams in Macau and Newport City in Manila, Philippines, each scheduled to open in the first half of 2009.
