(b) On January 6, 2009, Polly B. Kawalek notified the Board of Directors (the
"Board") of Kimball International, Inc. (the "Company") of her resignation from
the Company's Board effective immediately. Ms. Kawalek has served on the
Company's Board for eleven years and at the time of her resignation also served
as a member of the Audit Committee. Ms. Kawalek indicated her decision was not
the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the
Company's operations, policies or practices.
