Appointment of Principal Officers
(b) On January 5, 2009, Plum Creek Timber Company, Inc. was notified by Ian B.
Davidson, a long-time member of the company's Board of Directors and its
Chairman, that he is retiring from the Board and does not intend to stand for
re-election at the company's 2009 Annual Meeting of the Stockholders,
scheduled to take place on May 6, 2009. He has indicated that he will serve
for the remainder of his term to expire on the date of the meeting.
Mr. Davidson, 77, has been a member of the Board since 1992.
