Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition.

On January 7, 2009, Intuitive Surgical, Inc. ("Intuitive") issued a press release announcing its preliminary revenue results for the quarter ended December 31, 2008. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
