(b) On December 15, 2008, Kevin C. Tang notified Trimeris, Inc. (the "Company") of his decision to resign from the Company's board of directors effective as of that day. A copy of the resignation letter from Mr. Tang is attached to this Form 8-K as Exhibit 17.1.
