On December 10, 2008, the Board of Directors of CSX Corporation approved the record and meeting dates for its 2009 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. The Annual Meeting will be held on May 6, 2009. The record date for shareholders entitled to vote at the Annual Meeting will be March 6, 2009. The location of the Annual Meeting has yet to be determined and will be provided in the Company's notice to shareholders. The deadline for the submission of shareholder proposals pursuant to Rule 14a-8 is January 12, 2009.
