On December 12, 2008, Corning Incorporated announced that Katherine A. Asbeck, Senior Vice President - Finance, intends to retire as Corning's designated principal accounting officer effective March 31, 2009. A successor principal accounting officer will be designated in advance of March 31, 2009.
