(d) On December 8, 2008, the Board of Directors of Patterson Companies, Inc. (the "Company") elected Les C. Vinney as a member of the Board of the Company. Mr. Vinney will join the Board effective immediately and will serve on the compensation and governance committees. At the Annual Meeting in 2009, Mr. Vinney will be a nominee for election as Director for a term expiring at the Annual Meeting in 2011.
