Officers.
On December 2, 2008, Genzyme Corporation (the "Company") appointed Jason A.
Amello, 40, as Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller. From
June 2004 to December 2008, Mr. Amello served as Vice President, Strategic
Financial Services of the Company. Mr. Amello joined the Company in April 2000
and served as the Assistant Corporate Controller until June 2004. Prior to
joining the Company, Mr. Amello worked as a certified public accountant in the
business advisory and assurance practice of Deloitte LLP where he held various
positions over a period of approximately 10 years.
