Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

On November 28, 2008, Chesapeake Energy Corporation issued a press release announcing that on November 26, 2008 it made three filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The first filing was a shelf registration statement on Form S-3. The second filing was an acquisition shelf registration statement filed on Form S-4. The third filing was a supplemental prospectus relating to shares subject to Distribution Agency Agreements that Chesapeake entered into with Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated and UBS Securities LLC, which serve as sales agents under those agreements. A copy of the press release is attached as exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report.
