(b) On November 28, 2008, Barry J. West stepped down from his position as Chief Technology Officer and President, Xohm Business Unit, of Sprint Nextel Corporation ("Sprint Nextel"). Mr. West has joined Clearwire Corporation ("Clearwire") as President and Chief Architect. Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On November 28, 2008, Clearwire and Sprint Nextel announced that they have completed the transaction to combine their next-generation wireless broadband businesses to form a new wireless communications company named Clearwire. The press release announcing the closing of the transaction is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.
