On November 19, 2008, the board of directors (the "Board") of FiberTower Corporation ("FiberTower") elected Mark Holliday to fill the vacancy existing on the Board as a result of Darryl Schall's resignation in October. Mr. Holliday was appointed as a Class II director with a term expiring at FiberTower's annual meeting in 2011. Mr. Holliday was also appointed to the Audit Committee of the Board and elected as Chairman of such committee.

On November 20, 2008, FiberTower issued a press release announcing Mr. Holliday's election to the Board. A copy of that press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
