Item 8.01. Other Events.
On November 17, 2008, Progenics Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: PGNX) announced that the Therapeutic Goods Administration of the Australian Government has approved the registration of RELISTOR® (methylnaltrexone bromide 12mg/0.6ml solution for injection) for the treatment of opioid-induced constipation in patients with advanced illness who are receiving palliative care when response to laxative therapy has not been sufficient.

A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and the information contained therein is incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01 of this Current Report on Form 8-K.
