On November 17, 2008 Fauquier Bankshares, Inc. (the "Company") issued a news release announcing after thorough review the Company will not apply for additional capital under the U. S. Treasury Department's Capital Assistance Program (CAP).
A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this current report on Form 8-K.
