On November 6, 2008, The AES Corporation issued a press release announcing its
financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2008. A copy of the press
release is being furnished as Exhibit 99.1 attached hereto and is incorporated

On November 6, 2008, The AES Corporation issued a press release announcing its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 and revisions to its previously announced guidance. The Company currently plans to provide additional revised guidance when it reports its year-end results for all guidance not addressed in the attached release, including the years beyond 2009.
