On October 22, 2008, Renaissance Learning, Inc., a Wisconsin corporation (the "Company"), issued a press release (the "Press Release") announcing the Company's declaration of a special cash dividend of $.75 per share of Company common stock in addition to a quarterly cash dividend of $.07 per share of Company common stock, both payable December 1, 2008 to the Company's shareholders of record as of November 7, 2008. A copy of the Press Release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
