On October 10, 2008, Lev Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ("Lev") issued a press release announcing that it received marketing approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for Cinryze™ (C1 inhibitor [human]) for routine prophylaxis against angioedema attacks in adolescent and adult patients with hereditary angioedema (HAE).
