On October 7, 2008, Candela Corporation issued a press release announcing that the jury in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Lufkin ruled in favor of Palomar in the patent infringement lawsuit brought by Candela against Palomar Medical Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: PMTI). A copy of the press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
